Tie down strap, also called tie down, lashing strap or lashing belt, is a length of webbing that is tensioned and used to secure cargo or equipment on road vehicles, e.g. trucks and trailers or located on vessels or on rail wagons and/or combinations thereof. Tie down strap is essentially webbing that is outfitted with fastened tensioning devices (e. g. wrench, ratchet, spanner, tension jack) & anchored hardware (e. g. hook, terminal link).
Tips:
– Tie down strap can be used as a towing strap for emergency.
– Tie down strap should NOT be used for lifting goods.
